Lebron’s New Kicks

Well, if you haven’t heard by now, Lebron James is now a member or the Miami Heat.  Some may call him a traitor, some may refer to him as a “smart business man”…we’re going to stay neutral on this subject by saying: “Good Luck to all parties”.  Now that we’ve pulled out the white flag, here is a peak at Lebron’s 2010-2011 shoes.  Rumors have it saying that Lebron has bad knees so lets hope that he starts the comfort/healing process with some added support from shoe insoles.

I wear high heels every day, and they are an absolutely wonderful cushion for the ball of my foot.  This, as all high heel wearing women know, is where the weight of the foot should be for safe and elegant footing in heels.   I have to admit I did my own experiment: One morning, I placed one insert in the right shoe, and not in the left.  After a ten hour day of running errands, my right foot was comfortable and supported, and my left foot was aching.  It was amazing.

I also have to admit that I have not worn shoe inserts in the past.  In 2007, I competed in the Mrs. America pageant in Tucson, Arizona.  While at Mrs. America, I was standing, walking, rehearsing & dancing on my feet in heels every day for three weeks from 6AM until midnight.  When the rare occasion came for a trip by the drug store, I ran for the shoe insert aisle.  I tried every type of shoe insert known to man during those three weeks.  All of them made my feet worse (hence my subsequent shoe-insert skepticism).   I only wish I could have had these to give out to all the women who suffered along with me through those three weeks!

I will definitely be marketing these to my fellow high heel lovers in Maine, and wearing them in every pair of shoes.  I like very much that they also have a sticky back, which allows me to wear them in open toed shoes.
