It’s about that time of year. Whether you’re buying the latest and greatest shoe on the market or just simply dusting off the old pair and getting ready for summer, there is always one frequently overlooked aspect that can make make all the difference in the world with your shoes; we’re talking about the insoles. Have you ever really looked at the original insoles that come with shoes? Check it out! Grab your shoes, regardless of them being brand new or seasoned with experience, and pull out the insoles…. Are they 1/8thof an inch, or at best ¼ inch of foam? If they are, that isn’t very much protection for your feet, which happen to be absorbing an average of 63.5 tons of force in just a 1 mile walk.(1.) Stock shoe insoles may have cool designs with modern appeal that “blend well” with the style of the shoe, but are they really doing as much as they could, or should?
So what is the issue with those “stock” “foam” insoles? For starters, do you really think big brands such as: Nike, Adidas, Saucony, New Balance, etc. spend most of their time designing their insoles? … Not really. And why is that? Well, simply its not their industry. Don’t get us wrong, a nice pair of good-looking shoes is a great thing to have, but with out the proper insoles you can selling yourself short in comfort of your shoes.
Take this bit of info into thought: “stock” insoles are primarily made out of “foam” material. Foam, when stripped of its often misunderstood name, is simply “bubbles” and “capsules” that absorb impact by compressing, or “popping.” How many times can a bubble pop/compress and still provide consistent protection? Not much. To sum things up, foam insoles have a very short lifespan. RxSorbo insoles on the other hand are made with a visco-elastic polymer that after it absorbs the impact it rebounds to its normal shape.
Now what makes our insoles the best?? (In our opinion at least)
RxSorbo insoles are made of Sorbothane®, which absorb shock and provide protection to your body with every step you take. Most RxSorbo insoles were created to replace your “stock” insoles and provide you with that extra comfort and protection your body deserves. (We do create some very thin insoles that can, if you like, go over your existing insoles like the SorboGel, or the SorboLite)
So why did RxSorbo choose Sorbothane® over what any of the “other” insole companies use?
Since its introduction, 25 years ago, Sorbothane® has been used in many varied energy absorbing product categories. Sorbothane Inc. engineers supplied the NASA design team with a unique Sorbothane® isolator to protect shuttle cameras from the violent forces thrust upon them during launch. NASA also uses Sorbothane to isolate pumps on the International Space Station and to vibration/shock mount electronics on the new ARES I rocket — the replacement for the Space Shuttle, due to launch in 2012. The Liberty Bell was successfully moved using specially designed Sorbothane® isolators. When Wilson® Sporting Goods needed a superior shock absorber, for their new line of high-tech baseball gloves, they turned to Sorbothane®.
Think about this: if NASA trusts Sorbothane to protect its extremely fragile multimillion dollar equipment, imagine what it can do for your feet?
RxSorbo® insoles are excellent for everyone who walks, works, plays sports or spends long hours on their feet. RxSorbo® insoles have been proven to dramatically help individuals experiencing foot discomfort caused by medical conditions such as shin splits, heel spurs and ulcerations caused by diabetes. So whether you are putting them into your new shoes or simply giving your old shoes a well needed upgrade try a pair of RxSorbo insoles, isn’t your body worth it?
